What is the Liver Life Walk?
The Liver Life Walk is the national fundraising walk of the American Liver Foundation. Join thousands of people from coast-to-coast as we pound the pavement to change the face of liver health! Your participation will bring much needed awareness and financial support to the needs of millions of Americans who are battling more than 100 different types of liver disease.
National LIVEr Champion
Meet Issac - the 2014 National Liver Life Walk LIVEr Champion. On April 17, 2011 Isaac was admitted to the Phoenix Chidlren's Hospital due to yellowing of the eyes. He was then flown to the University Medical Center in Tucson. Isaac had contracted an unknown virus that was killing his liver. He was showing signs of brain swelling, slurred speech, diminished coordination, and uncontrollable screaming. He had to be placed in a medically induced coma. Issac's transplant took place on May 8th, 2011 (Mother's Day). Isaac came home just 14 days after his transplant. Read more about Isaac's incredible story!
