Team Training RunsThere are several opportunities to train with your RFR teammates as well as other runners in the community. In this section you will find some options we recommend to help plan a schedule that will work for you. Alternate flat runs on the Charles RiverMany runners (as well as walkers, rollerbladers and cyclists) use the path along the Charles River to train. The route along the Charles offers running loops of distances between 4 and 18 miles. Not all of the path is lighted at night so always make safety a priority. Please common sense when running at night, do not run alone and wear reflective gear. Check the Charles River Running Guide and distances. Can't make the team runs?If you can't make the team runs, are looking for other people to run with to keep you motivated or don't live in the greater Boston area, join a local running club. Some Boston area running clubs:MVS Merrimack Valley Striders (NE Mass/Southern NH) Community Running Association (Boston) Greater Boston Track Club (Boston) Thirsty Irish Runners (Dedham, MA) Somerville Road Runners (Somerville, MA) L Street Running Club (South Boston) Central Mass Striders (Worcester, MA) |
