Fundraising 

The Run for Research® program has generated more than $13 million for the American Liver Foundation mission of education, support and research for the prevention, treatment and cure of liver disease.  In 2010, we hope to raise $1.3 million, and we need you to help us make this the most successful year in our twenty-one year history.

Fundraising Incentives

To receive the polo you must raise a minimum of $5,000 ($2,500 if your number is secured through another source)

To receive either the tote or the tie you must raise a minimum of $7,000 ($4,500 if your number is secured through another source)

What your dollar buys at ALF

Your Personal Page

Once you’re accepted to the team, your personal donation page will be created for you.

You will have the ability to customize your ALF page by adding an image, setting a goal, including a message, etc.  Your page will automatically update as your friends and family make donations showing your progress towards your goal, and you will be able to update your page throughout the training season with your progress in getting ready for the race.

Login to your page at any time this is where you update your page, invite people to donate, view donor information and reports, send thank you emails, and track offline donations.

Instructions on how to Login to your Participant Center

(You will have access to the participant center once you have been accepted and registered to the team):

Visit the Run for Research homepage and click on Runners Login.  Enter the login information you created at registration.  You will be back at the home page and you can click the button at the top of the page that says Participant Center.

Once in the Participant Center you can edit your personal fundraising page, update your goal, create an address book, and track your progress.

Fundraising Help

The minimum fundraising amount is $3250, and we hope you will strive for an even higher achievement. Most of our runners fundraise over $5000 each season. You have been assigned a member of our Runners’ Council, who will be calling you regularly to follow up on the progress of your campaign or answer any questions that may arise.
