Beth Kissinger, qualified runner and team member says...
Mental Benefit - Joining the Liver Team allows me to train (and commiserate) with 200 great people who share/understand my December to April obsession with the Boston Marathon. (It makes me feel almost rational.) - Being on the Liver Team simply makes the entire Boston Marathon experience more fun. Physical Benefit - Every year I learn something new from my teammates, Liver Team coaches, guest speakers, and volunteer trainers that makes me a better runner. Emotional Benefit - Running to help other people affected by liver disease gives me much needed motivation and inspiration during those moments when marathon training becomes a chore. Pragmatic Benefit for the Out of Town Rural Qualified Runner - The orange Liver Team gear comes in really handy when I run during hunting season.
