Join the 2010 RFR Marathon Team

Run for Research® (RFR) is a running team that wins every time. Coordinated by the New England Chapter of the American Liver Foundation, the team promotes awareness of liver disease and raises money to fund critical liver research. By collecting contributions from friends, family, colleagues and others, RFR runners earn the privilege to compete in the world's most prestigious running event, the Boston Marathon®.

2010 Program Timetable

The 114th Boston Marathon takes place on Monday, April 19, 2010.

After you submit your online application, you will be notified of the status of your application within two weeks. If we cannot accept you to the team immediately you will be placed on a waiting list and contacted if a space becomes available.

The official 18-week training program, including team meetings, group runs and other events, begins in late fall and continues through race day. Informal group runs and team events take place year round.

The American Liver Foundation is the nation’s leading non-profit organization for promoting liver health and disease prevention. We provide research, education and advocacy for those affected by liver-related diseases, including hepatitis. All contributions made payable to the American Liver Foundation, are non-refundable and are tax-deductible in the calendar year they are given.
