Hello my name is Adam Bowen and I am an endurance athlete and aspiring Ironman. Last year my father's health began declining rapidly. The Hepatitis C had caused enough damage to his liver and overall health that treatment or a liver transplant were not an option for him. As an endurance athlete I compete in many different events and though I see multiple organizations raising awareness for various diseases, I had yet to see one that helped to increase knowledge about liver diseases. Everyday that I train I think of the pain and discomfort my father and many others cope with everyday they battle with their liver diseases, and the strength they show to get through each day. These thoughts push me harder and encourage me to make it through that next mile all the way to the finish. This site is in honor of my father who gives me the inspiration and strength to succeed everyday. I love you dad.
