Good Day Friends and Families,

On August 9th, 2012 we arrived from various parts of the United States, Puerto Rico, Barbados, Sri Lanka, and Seychelles to form OCS Class 1-13.

We have joined together as a class and have challenged ourselves to run a half marathon (13.1 miles) in November in support of the American Liver Foundation and sponsored by Fattman Productions. It is called the Chilly Half Marathon due to it being the last race of the season in the New England area and we will be running in the COLD!

There are a small handful of
us who have completed this feat before but for the majority of us, we will be training hard over the next few months to accomplish this. We will do our best to post updates on our progress through the program and training.

Please support us in our training with encouraging words, thoughts, and we graciously ask if you can afford a donation please support us financially, just click the "Sponsor Me" button to get started.  The race director has waived all of our entry fees in exchange for setting up a donation site to support the American Liver Foundation!  Please follow our progress on facebook at https://www.facebook.com/OCSRunners

We thank you and look forward to hearing from each and every one of you!

Wish us luck,

OCS Class 1-13

Thank you for supporting the Chilly Half Marathon on November 11, 2012!

The Liver Life Challenge is a celebration of my commitment to a world free of liver disease. Please help me make that goal a reality! I support the American Liver Foundation® because it:

  • Advocates on behalf of 30 million Americans with liver disease on the federal, state, and local levels.
  • Provides education programs, support services, and outreach activities that reach more than 200,000 individuals annually and raise awareness on liver disease prevention and management.
  • Is the largest non-governmental supporter of liver disease research in the U.S. and since 1979, the American Liver Foundation Research Awards Program has provided more than $24 million to more than 750 qualified scientists and physicians.
