Fundraising Honor Roll

Dear Friends,

It is that time of the year again where I ask for your support for the American Liver Foundation.  I will be running the Falmouth Road Race on August 11, 2013 on behalf of patients with liver disease and the families and friends who help them.

As many of you know, I work at a company that is focused on hepatitis C (HCV) and while HCV captures a great deal of attention - liver disease affects so many more people. Through my involvement with the American Liver Foundation New England Division, I have listened to stories about children with rare liver diseases as well as adults with more common liver diseases.  I have had the good fortune of meeting some of these people as well. One common thread is the support they receive from the American Liver Foundation.  Sometimes it is educational outreach and information but more often it is patient support such as finding the right medical care or treatment centers.

I realize that we all get countless requests to support and/or donate to many charities so I completely understand (and will not be offended :) if you pass on this.  That said, I also know many of you feel as strongly about the importance and value that the American Liver Foundation provides for all those affected by liver disease.

Please consider a donation.  In the meantime - I hope you all are having a teriffic summer and thank you in advance!

Thank you for supporting the New Balance Falmouth Road Race on August 11, 2013!
