Help me to help 30 million Americans!

This is not my first, nor my last Liver Foundation Event. I have a very lovely nephew named Zane, who has overcome and conquered his congential defect of Biliary Atresia. Zane has had numerous surgeries, including a liver transplant, to allow him to have a normal life and grow into a successful, young man.

His growth and strength has empowered me to help raise awareness of liver disease. SO, here I am---signed up for a 5K race!!! Hopefully, I can run this race to show him I can be strong too!!!!!!

Every step I take and every dollar I raise will make a diference in the lives of more than 30 million Americans living with liver disease.

Did you know:

  • Liver cancer is one of the few primary cancers on the rise in the United States.
  • Approximately 5.4 million Americans are chronically infected with hepatitis B or hepatitis C. About 65% and 75% , respectively, are unaware that they are infected.
  • It is estimated that up to 25% of the U.S. population could have Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease--a condition that can lead to life-threatening damage.
