Dear Family and Friends:
'I am only one, but still I am one. I cannot do everything, but still I can do something; and because I cannot do everything, I will not refuse to do something (Helen Keller).'
Last year's Pittsburgh Half Marathon was absolutely incredible! We achieved our goals for funds raised, as well as for our time. One of the people who we ran for was our friend Adele Breen; a long time sufferer of liver disease. We are so thrilled to report that she has been completely healed and running in this year's relay!!! YOUR contribution DOES make a difference!!!
This year, Julie and I are 'combining forces' in a joint fund raising effort for Julie's sister-in-law Beth Chandler, and the American Liver Foundation. We are really excited and anxious to be running the 2013 Pittsburgh Half Marathon on May 5th with Julie's husband Andy, and our dear friends Brian and John.
Would you please help us to help 30 million Americans? A world free of liver disease! That is why we are participating in the Liver Life Challenge.
Every step we take and every dollar we raise will make a difference in the lives of more than 30 million Americans living with liver disease.
Did you know:
By making a donation on our behalf, you will be helping the Foundation provide community-based education, research, support, and advocacy related to help prevent and treat liver disease. Together we can make a difference and it's as simple as helping us reach our fundraising goal.
Donating is easy! Just click the "Sponsor Me" button to get started. Donations of any amount would be sincerely appreciated. Corporate donations receive special recognition and promotion at the $250, $500, and $1,000 levels,
'The measure of a life, after all, is not its duration, but its donation (Corrie Ten Boom).'
Thank you so very much for your support! If you cannot, or do not wish to donate, your prayers and any words of encouragement would be greatly appreciated! See you at the finish line!
Eric and Julie
'I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead. I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God through Christ Jesus, is calling us...For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength (Philippians 3:13-14; 4:13).'
Thank you for supporting the Pittsburgh Marathon 2013 on May 5, 2013!
