Fundraising Honor Roll

Imagine a world free of liver disease...that is why I am participating in the Liver Life Challenge and Tough Mudder New England 2013. The Liver Life Challenge is an endurance sport training program that helps people like me train for a race (Tough Mudder) while supporting the mission of the American Liver Foundation. I also was touched by both a colleague's experience and a friend's story and wanted to take on this challenge with them in mind and in their loved ones' honor.

Every step I take and every dollar I raise will make a diference in the lives of more than 30 million Americans living with liver disease.

Did you know:

  • Liver cancer is one of the few primary cancers on the rise in the United States.
  • Approximately 5.4 million Americans are chronically infected with hepatitis B or hepatitis C. About 65% and 75% , respectively, are unaware that they are infected.
  • It is estimated that up to 25% of the U.S. population could have Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease--a condition that can lead to life-threatening damage.

By making a donation on my behalf, you will help the Foundation provide community-based education, research, support, and advocacy related to preventing and treating liver disease. Together we can make a difference - help me reach my fundraising goal. This will be one of the toughest challenges of my life, but it does not compare to what those with Liver Disease/Cancer fight through, along with their loved ones.

Reached my Goal!
I reached my goal this morning of $500 in donations!! Thank you to all who helped in the effort! Those who still want to donate to help the cause, you can continue to do so through my page up until the event day. :)
Now that I reached my goal, I need to get my butt in gear to conquer this obstacle course challenge, in honor of those we lost and those fighting liver disease/cancer. Stay tuned for updates on my training - should be a good time! ;)
