Dear Friends and Family Members,
I am participating in a climb up Mt. Shasta in Northern California (the event is known as the Liver Life Challenge) this June, (1) to raise money for the American Liver Foundation, and (2) to prove to myself I can still handle a steep trail, snow and ice!
With retirement looming (July 1) and planned hikes on Mt. Whitney and Mt. Kilimanjaro this summer, Mt. Shasta seems like a logical first step, don't you think?!
Plus, every step I take and every dollar I raise will make a diference in the lives of more than 30 million Americans living with liver disease.
Did you know:
Forget the birthday and retirement presents. By making a donation on my behalf, you will be helping the Foundation provide community-based education, research, support, and advocacy related to help prevent and treat liver disease. Although LIver Cancer has not personally touched my life , it has touched the ilives of some of my dearest friends. Together we can make a difference and it's as simple as helping me reach my fundraising goal.
Donating is easy! Just click the "Donate" button to get started.
Help put the old man on the mountain!
Thanks so much,
Thank you for supporting the Mt. Shasta Climb 2014 on June 13-16, 2014!
The Liver Life Challenge is a celebration of my commitment to a world free of liver disease. Please help me make that goal a reality! I support the American Liver Foundation® because it:
