Help me to help 30 million Americans. 30 Million Americans like my Jack!

Jack was diagnosed with liver disease (biliary atresia) at 7 1/2 weeks old. He was operated on at 10 weeks old and had a successful Kasai procedure at Columbia Presbyterian Babies and Children's hospital in NYC. We are forever grateful to Dr. Peter Altman, Dr. Amy De Felice and their teams. Many children with BA need liver transplantation at an average age of 2 1/2 years old.

Jack has come well past that and turns 14 this May.He is celebrating his Bar Mitzvah in March, and plays an awesome game of basketball! BIG NEWS Jack will be riding with me this year to help raise money for the liver foundation as his Mitzvah Project; showing his comittment to raising awareness about liver disease.

A world free of liver disease! That is why I am participating in the Liver Life Challenge again this year. The Liver Life Challenge is an endurance sport training program that helps people like me train for a race while supporting the mission of the American Liver Foundation.

Every mile I ride and every dollar I raise will make a diference in the lives of more than 30 million Americans living with liver disease.

Did you know:

  • Liver cancer is one of the few primary cancers on the rise in the United States.
  • Approximately 5.4 million Americans are chronically infected with hepatitis B or hepatitis C. About 65% and 75% , respectively, are unaware that they are infected.
  • It is estimated that up to 25% of the U.S. population could have Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease--a condition that can lead to life-threatening damage.

By making a donation on my behalf, you will be helping the Foundation provide community-based education, research, support, and advocacy related to help prevent and treat liver disease. Together we can make a difference and it's as simple as helping me reach my fundraising goal.

Donating is easy! Just click the "Sponsor Me" button to get started.
