Fundraising Honor Roll

It's that time again - marathon season! I am doing two new races this year - San Francisco in July and the Marine Corps Marathon in late October. And once again, I'm running for our liver's future health.  I have a challenge for you!

I am turning 28 on May 17th! Help me celebrate my birthday! Will you donate $28 (or a multiple of 28) today and support my fundraising efforts!

Currently, I am a staff member of the American Liver Foundation – Great Lakes Division. In my role of Event Manager, I have been lucky enough to be able to meet and work with some very exceptional people. I’m running for my colleagues and friends whom every day that battle liver disease and/or work to find a cure for liver disease.

Every step I take and every dollar I raise will make a difference in the lives of more than 30 million Americans living with liver disease.

What do your funds go?

For only $28, you can help the ALF provide education materials to one middle school classroom

With a $140 donation, you can help the ALF provide 2 support group sessions that provide emotional support and information to people with liver disease and their caregivers.

A donation of $280, you can help the ALF fund one HelpLine professional who provides information, support and education material to callers through the American Liver Foundation’s national HelpLine.

You may wonder why I am running for the American Liver Foundation….

Did you know:

  • Liver cancer is one of the few primary cancers on the rise in the United States.
  • It is estimated that up to 25% of the U.S. population could have Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease--a condition that can lead to life-threatening damage.

By making a donation on my behalf, you will be helping the Foundation provide community-based education, research, support, and advocacy related to help prevent and treat liver disease. Together we can make a difference and it's as simple as helping me reach my fundraising goal.

Donating is easy! Just click the "Donate" button to get started.

Thank you for supporting the Bank of America Chicago Marathon on October 12, 2014!

The Liver Life Challenge is a celebration of my commitment to a world free of liver disease. Please help me make that goal a reality! I support the American Liver Foundation® because it:

  • Advocates on behalf of 30 million Americans with liver disease on the federal, state, and local levels.
  • Provides education programs, support services, and outreach activities that reach more than 200,000 individuals annually and raise awareness on liver disease prevention and management.
  • Is the largest non-governmental supporter of liver disease research in the U.S. and since 1979, the American Liver Foundation Research Awards Program has provided more than $24 million to more than 750 qualified scientists and physicians.
