On October 12, 2013, students and staff from Skinner Road School will be running a relay as part of the Hartford Marathon. Each student will spend the next four weeks running either 12 or 25 miles (1 mile at a time) to train for this relay. On race day each student will run one more mile plus the final .2 mile to cross the finish line together as a team. When all is said and done, everyone will have completed either a full or half marathon.
Our team is running in support of the American Liver Foundation because a member of our Skinner Road Family has liver disease. By making a donation on behalf of Skinner Road School, you will be helping the Foundation provide community-based education, research, support, and advocacy related to help prevent and treat liver disease. For more information about this great cause go to www.liverfoundation.org If you would like to make a donation you can do so on this site by clicking the "Sponsor Me" button or send a check made out to American Liver Foundation to Mrs. Mangold in Room 21. Donating through this site is simple, fast and secure. Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
Skinner Road School works towards healthy minds and bodies!
