In early November 2009 Mike was diagnosed with Liver Disease and told he'd need a transplant within six months. On December 4th 2009 Michael W. Hayes passed away due to complications of his diagnosis in Mesa, Arizona with his family by his side. On Saturday May 22nd we will honor Mike and all those effected by this disease.

Only days until the Liver Life Walk Indianapolis 2010.

Why Support the American Liver Foundation
- 30 million Americans - one in every 10 - are or have been affected by a liver disease.
- There are more than 100 types of liver disease, with hepatitis A, B, and C being the most common.
- In 2008, over 16,000 individuals were on the waiting list for a liver transplant and only 6,319 received a liver transplant
- Chronic liver disease/cirrhosis is the 12th leading cause of death in the United States.
Many forms of liver disease are preventable, and many more can be treated effectively if detected early. The Liver Life Walk is a celebration of my commitment to a world free of liver disease. Please help me make that goal a reality!
