Did you know, "More than 25,000,000 Americans, or 1 in every 10, are or have been affected with liver and biliary disease, and up to 50% of those infected show no sympoms?" These facts, and more can be found at: http://www.slu.edu/x23612.xml
I am participating in this walk to find a cure, and chances are if you're on this site, you are too. Someone very close to me passed away from liver cancer not too long ago. He was a wonderful man; a loving husband and father, a compassionate worker, and someone who never wasted a minute of his short life sitting down and complaining that he was bored. There was no cure for him and the cancer took him from his family within a 2 week period. Watching his family live with the pain of losing such a dedicated, amazing person has been difficult. They have kept strong and participated in the Liver Life Walk for five years so that no one else has to go through the unrelenting heartache they face on a daily basis. It is for them, 25,000,000+ Americans, and more around the world, that I am walking for in May.
By making a donation on my behalf, you will be helping the American Liver Foundation provide community-based education and prevention programs, protect the rights of people with liver disease, and fund critical research.
Donating is easy! Just click the "Sponsor Me" button to get started!

Thank you for supporting the Liver Life Walk San Diego 2013 on May 11, 2013!

The Liver Life Walk is a celebration of my commitment to a world free of liver disease. Please help me make that goal a reality! I support the American Liver Foundation® because it:

  • Advocates on behalf of 30 million Americans with liver disease on the federal, state, and local levels.
  • Provides education programs, support services, and outreach activities that reach more than 200,000 individuals annually and raise awareness on liver disease prevention and management.
  • Is the largest non-governmental supporter of liver disease research in the U.S. and since 1979, the American Liver Foundation Research Awards Program has provided more than $24 million to more than 750 qualified scientists and physicians.
Please send offline, non-cash donations to our office at:
