And hello to our new teammates!

We are back again this year to participate in The American Liver Foundations Liver Life Walk NYC 2013.

With your gracious support last year our dedicated team helped to raise a significant amount of funds for Team Gratitude / New York Presbyterian Hospital and The American Liver Foundation. The benefits of which are already helping to educate, create awareness and help resolve liver disease and related complications among patients and their families.

We are so very proud of our collective efforts!

In March of 2011 my own battle with liver disease began. And until I was transplanted on Christmas of that same year I was faced with the reality of losing my life. With the delicate, focused and special care of my NYPH medical team I, along with my fiancé Evelyn, my family and friends, surged forward through the most painful and frightening times of my life. Without them I would NOT be here today. And to all of them I must again say thank you for the unconditional support and love throughout.

We must also acknowledge my unknown donor family whose loved one sadly lost their life in order to save mine. We quietly thank them in our prayers and in our hearts as they live in our thoughts everyday.

Support, friendship and perseverance is what brings all of the Liver Life Walk participants together. And by donating, you will be part of a very special community of people who gather at this event to help make a difference in the lives of those affected by liver disease. As a couple who has been through the worst of times and rewarded with the best of times we understand that overcoming liver disease does not happen without teamwork.

Evelyn and I are sure that this years walk will be another profoundly special experience thanks to your support.
