Fundraising Honor Roll

At the age of 10, I was diagnosed with a rare liver disease, called PSC. After years of managing my life with this condition, I was finally freed of liver disease in 2010 when I had a liver transplant at the University of Washington Medical Center.

Liver transplantation gave me my life back. I am now healthier and stronger than I have ever been. And best of all, I have my entire life ahead of me to look forward to. I truly experienced the gift of transplant.

My liver transplant also allowed me to start my collegiate education at the University of Washington. I am studying Bioengineering, while participating in undergraduate research and volunteering for local organ donation organizations. On my free time, I train for half-marathons with UWMC Team Transplant. Currently, I am training for my 3rd half-marathon. One of my goals is to show others that liver disease or liver transplantation can't hold you back from living a normal life and pursuing your dreams.

In the Liver Life Walk, every step I take and every dollar I raise will make a difference in the lives of the 30 million Americans living with liver disease. By making a donation on my behalf, you will be helping the American Liver Foundation provide community-based education and prevention programs, protect the rights of people with liver disease, and fund critical research.

By making a donation you'll take all of us a step closer to a world free of liver disease!

Donating is quick and easy! Just click the "Sponsor Me" link to get started! If you would like to join my team and work with me on this cause, click on "Join Ameen's Team."
