COME WALK IN THE SAN DIEGO ZOO - MAY 11, 2013!

Support our mission to save lives by promoting the California Organ Donor Registry and helping our San Diego Chapter of the American Liver Foundation prevent the need for organ transplants thru education in our local schools and clubs. When organs fail, the only cure is a transplant. Organ failure is caused by accident, illness, genetics - most of the time not due to anything the person has done to themselves. 116,000+ people of all ages are currently on the national transplant waiting list. Help by learning the truth about organ donor myths and sharing what you learn with your family and friends.

You are never too old to Register your wishes and make your own decision so no one else will need to make the decision when the time comes. Only 1% will ever actually be able to become organ donors, mainly due to circumstance - organ donors are indeed very special. Their memories are carried by people they never met, and always are treasured.  REGISTER AS AN ORGAN DONOR THRU THIS LINK - IT DOES NOT SIGN YOU UP FOR THE WALK/THAT IS THE OTHER LINK ON THIS PAGE: https://register.donatelifecalifornia.org/register/

  • Provides education programs, support services, and outreach activities that reach more than 200,000 individuals annually and raise awareness on liver disease prevention and management.
  • Is the largest non-governmental supporter of liver disease research in the U.S. and since 1979, the American Liver Foundation Research Awards Program has provided more than $24 million to more than 750 qualified scientists and physicians.
