Liver Life Walk San Francisco 2013

Team OCTAINE

Thank you for your interest in team OCTAINE-2013!!

team OCTAINE was estsblished in 2011 in memory of Paul Jones who lost his battle with Liver Disease in January of that year at the young age of 35. Paul was a vibrant, funny, sweet, charming soul who touched the lives of countless folks with his infectious smile and genuine kindness. Paul was a multi-talented musician and his love of the Industrial/Techno/Electronic/EBM genre spawned his very energetic band: OCTAINE, which was active for many years in the Central Valley/Sacramento area. Since that time, team OCTAINE has evolved to honor not only Paul's fight, but also that of our Modesto CA based team captain Louis and his neice Susie, both of whom are living with Liver Disease.

By helping the American Liver Foundation in their fight to bring Liver Disease awareness to the forefront, we pledge team OCTAINE's efforts in motivating as many people as possible to contribute whatever they can to our cause. We ask your assistance in either making a monetary donation to help us meet our team fundraising goal and/or by getting involved in our endeavor by becoming a team member, walking with us on September 22nd in San Francisco, and raising funds to contribute to helping our team's efforts in asssiting the American Liver Foundation to help advance and fund research for cures related to over 100 types of life threatening forms of Liver Disease which affect over 50 million Americans every year.

Thank you for taking time to consider our team's plea for your assistance. We realize that summer brings lots of fun times and with that comes many expenses, but if you would kindly consider making even a minimal donation we'd be extrememly grateful for whatever kindness you would consider making. All donations are completely tax deductible and the American Liver Foundation is an extremely reputable 501C charitable organization who strives in complete accountability and transparency.

  • Provides education programs, support services, and outreach activities that reach more than 200,000 individuals annually and raise awareness on liver disease prevention and management.
  • Is the largest non-governmental supporter of liver disease research in the U.S. and since 1979, the American Liver Foundation Research Awards Program has provided more than $24 million to more than 750 qualified scientists and physicians.
