Liver disease can't get me down. Liver disease won't beat me. Nothing can beat me.
I was diagnosed with liver disease when I was 19 years old. It was caused by a birth defect in my bile ducts. In May 2009, I underwent a preventive liver surgery to treat the condition, but cirrhosis can never be cured. It has been six years since the surgery, and I continue to feel better than ever. Six months after the surgery, I started weightlifting in order to become the strongest, most awesome version of myself possible. Now I can out-lift the guys.
Every year, I volunteer with the American Liver Foundation to raise awareness for liver disease. The Liver Life Walk is the largest fundraiser for the organization. As a participant in the Walk, I am helping the fight against liver disease.
Every step I take and every dollar I raise will make a difference in the lives of the 30 million Americans living with liver disease. By making a donation on my behalf, you will be helping the American Liver Foundation provide community-based education and prevention programs, protect the rights of people with liver disease, and fund critical research.
By making a donation, you will take me one step closer to my goal and take all of us another stride closer to a world free of liver disease!
Donating is easy! Just click the "Donate" button to get started!
