Fundraising Honor Roll

I am walking this race in memory of my cousin Laura Linehan as well as in dedication to my  friend Joan Onofrio.  Laura was born with a rare disorder called tyrosinemia which prevents the body from breaking down amino acid, because of this Laura received a new liver at the age of 2. 10 years later she found out that she was infected with Hepatitis C from the blood transfusion used during the transplant surgery. She needed another liver. She moved from Massachusetts to Florida to increase her chances of recieving a liver. On April 4, 2008 at the age of 20 Laura lost her battle with liver disease. I have committed myself to sharing her story and to help raise money to find a cure. I miss Laura terribly and the least I can do is help her cause! I love you Laura!

I am also walking in dedication to my dear friend Joan Onofrio. Joan right now is in stage 4 cirrhosis of the liver and is currently undergoing treatment. We are praying and hoping for a cure! In other words this walk means so much to me because I have 2 amazing women in my life who have been affected by liver disease an incurable disease, we can fight for more research and help save lives!

Walk for Fun?Walk for Life!
