Hey Everyone........As most of you already know, for the past 20 years I have been living with autoimmune hepatitis. This past winter I was also diagnosed with another liver disease called Primary Biliary Cirrhosis or PBC. At times liver disease has been a bit of a pain in the ass, but oddly enough,  I feel lucky to have this.  It has furthered my drive to live life unafraid, in the moment, and free of "what ifs".  It has taught me to seek the good in all things, make no excuses, and to not complain over trivial things.  I am constantly blown away by the care I receive from some of the top doctors in their field and the love and tolerance granted to me by The Best Wife and Family in the World.  My life is pretty awesome,  I plan on living a long one.

Unfortunately, during hospital visits I have been amongst others much sicker than myself. A lot of them are just kids. The fear on children's faces in waiting rooms is heart wrenching. The morose, defeated look in many adults is just plain sad.  These are the people who need help and hope.  These are the people who need more research done.

Over 30 million Americans have liver disease. 15,000 children yearly are diagnosed with liver disease. Still, ridiculously little research is done due to limited funding and few charitable donations. Much of this is caused by false stigmas associated with it. Hopefully, our efforts will help spark a change in tide that is long overdue.
