Fundraising Honor Roll

As a participant in the Liver Life Walk, I'm helping to move forward the fight against liver disease and I need your help! I personally am fighting to live a happy, normal, and healthy life everyday. I was diagnosed with liver disease, cirrhosis of the liver, back in late 2005. I have lead a healthy life up until then when one day I woke up and didn't feel very well. By the end of the day I was in the hospital vomiting blood. I had no clue what was going on. When I woke up I found out that I had cirrhosis's of the liver while in a wonderful relationship with Kevin Gildea. We are now married. During that time the road to good health has not been easy but with the support of my family and friends I am very blessed with love, understanding, and compassion. I could not thank everyone enough for all that everyone does for me and for others with liver disease. Just even asking how and why helps, getting out the awareness of the issue is a main goal for me. Just because you have liver disease doesn't mean that you lead a hard life and injured your body with poor choices over the years. As far as they can tell, I may have been born with a bad liver. I didn't find out until I was in my late 20's going through a divorce, and starting a completely new life with a loving supportive man. I told him the day we found out I would understand if he bailed now. Expenses of this illness was going to be a life long battle. He stayed, married me, and supports me completely. I couldn't ask for more. So if you would please help me in my goal. You can come walk with us and raise donations. My team name is Christy's Crusaders. Or you can help support us with a donation and not walking too. All well wishes are welcome and support from any level or denomination.  I am on a mission this year and have a wonderful team already forming. Thanks again!!!! Thank you to all that have already registered and started their donations!!!!

Every step I take and every dollar I raise will make a difference in the lives of the 30 million Americans living with liver disease. By making a donation on my behalf, you will be helping the American Liver Foundation provide community-based education and prevention programs, protect the rights of people with liver disease, and fund critical research.

By making a donation you'll take me one step closer to my goal and take all of us another stride closer to a world free of liver disease!

Donating is easy! Just click the "Sponsor Me" button to get started!
