Welcome to our Liver Life Walk Team Page!
As many of you know in March 2010, our then 6 yr old son Meyer was diagnosed with PSC ( Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis, a rare bile duct disease), Autoimmune Hepatitis and Crohn's Disease.
He is now a brave, sweet and very generous 10 yr old boy. He loves to fish, go crabbing at the beach, hang out with his friends and read Harry Potter books.
Meyer is very excited to enter the 5th grade in the fall. Unfortunately, there are many days that Meyer does not the the energy needed to attend school all day due to his liver disease. Meyer receives IV infusions of Remicade every 5 weeks to keep his Crohns disease in remission. But presently there is no cure or treatment for PSC and most people eventually require a liver transplant.
Meyer dreams of being a Marine Biologist and eventually finding the Loch Ness Monster. So we are asking for your help. If you would please consider either walking with us in the Liver Life Walk or making a donation to the American Liver Foundation. Your support can make a difference in Meyer's Life and in the lives of many other people currently living with Liver disease.
Thank you for your support,
The Goldberg Family
