Fundraising Honor Roll
Give with Liberty

I'm Brian MacMahon and I'm running my 8th consecutive Boston Marathon to help cure liver disease. In the wake of last year's bombing, we have all come to value our lives here in Boston more dearly. Were your life to be shortened by liver disease, you would come to value that life that much more dearly too. The research and advocacy that the American Liver Foundation provides is making great inroads to providing full and satisfying lifes for those with liver disease.
I have seen liver disease up close including late stage Hepititis C, Liver Cancer and Biliary Atresia, which affects young children. If you could meet these children and talk to them you would be amazed at their courage and optimism. Many have had multiple liver transplants before the age of 15.
Much progress is being made in treating these diseases due to research funded by the American Liver Foundation. For example, two new treatments for Hepititis C were approved last year that dramatically increased the cure rate.
There are 30 million Americans afflicted with liver disease. This is 1 out of every 10 Americans!
