Goals for 2013

As 2012, is coming to an end, it is time to look ahead and see what challenges and goals await.

Last year my challenges were:

February Super bowl Sunday Redondo Beach 10 k 54.07

April Boston Marathon 5:19:10

April Big Sur Marathon 5:09:16

May Ottawa Marathon 4:39:33

June 5 Peaks Sunridge Enduro course

July Calgary Stampede Runoff Half Marathon 2:10:05

December Honolulu Marathon 5:47

This year?s Goals and DREAMS in running are the same as last year except in addition, I would like to run:

2013 World Masters Games in Torino Italy in August- 10k, half marathon, and why not ?the 100 meter dash? considered being the fastest man alive race. You do not need to qualify for the World Masters Games, as anyone including me with limited ability, can register. Many Olympic athletes participate in these games as they are open for anyone over the age of 30 and even have athletes who are over 100 year old. Come and join the fun in Italy.

Xiamen International Marathon in China in January 2014

In addition to running, I am committed to raise money for the American Liver Foundation Run for Research Team. I have been very fortunate in the past few years to have been in the top 10 fund raisers for the Run for Research Team at the Boston Marathon. My friends and suppliers have always been willing to support my fund raising campaign for the Run for Research Live Foundation and it is my privilege to represent these friends while I run. Raising awareness and funds for Liver Research is my way to support research that can help to reduce Liver disease and spread awareness of one of the fastest growing diseases in the world due to diet, lack of exercise and transmitted disease such as AIDS. One in four people will have some form of Liver Disease.

My goal for Run for Research fundraising is $10,000.00.

The Liver Life Challenge is a celebration of my commitment to a world free of liver disease. Please help me make that goal a reality! I support the American Liver Foundation® because it:

  • Provides education programs, support services, and outreach activities that reach more than 200,000 individuals annually and raise awareness on liver disease prevention and management.
  • Is the largest non-governmental supporter of liver disease research in the U.S. and since 1979, the American Liver Foundation Research Awards Program has provided more than $24 million to more than 750 qualified scientists and physicians.
