Fundraising Honor Roll

Hey Everyone,

Last year's marathon was so much "fun" that I decided to tackle it again!  Ok, so the conditions in 2012 were less than ideal, but it will be giving me that much more drive to complete the 2013 Boston Marathon as best I can.  Over the last year, I've seen the American Liver Foundation do some amazing things, most notably the contribution that they have made to funding research towards a cure for liver disease.  The foundation has given so much time and energy to so many people afflicted with these diseases, and that is why I will be working hard to do what I can to contribute this season.

Overall, last year's experience was amazing. From the meeting the team, to the training runs, to the stories I listened to from the patients with Liver disease... It was all so inspiring.  Now, I'm looking to build on last years experience, and have set a higher fundraising goal.

I am participating in the Liver Life Challenge by running in the Boston Marathon on April 15, 2013. The Liver Life Challenge is an endurance sport training program that helps people like me train for a race while supporting the mission of the American Liver Foundation.

Help me to help 30 million Americans.

Every step I take and every dollar I raise will make a diference in the lives of more than 30 million Americans living with liver disease.

Did you know:

  • Liver cancer is one of the few primary cancers on the rise in the United States.
  • Approximately 5.4 million Americans are chronically infected with hepatitis B or hepatitis C. About 65% and 75% , respectively, are unaware that they are infected.
  • It is estimated that up to 25% of the U.S. population could have Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease--a condition that can lead to life-threatening damage.

By making a donation on my behalf, you will be helping the Foundation provide community-based education, research, support, and advocacy related to help prevent and treat liver disease. Together we can make a difference and it's as simple as helping me reach my fundraising goal.

Donating is easy! Just click the "Sponsor Me" button to get started.

Thanks to everyone for helping out,

Billy Theodat
