Fundraising Honor Roll

Friends and family,

So I've finally taken the plunge and decided to run the 2013 Boston Marathon with the American Liver Foundation.  I'm not going to lie, I get absolutely terrified when I think about the months of training ahead, especially in the harsh Boston winters, however, I'm sure my training will be nothing compared to what people with liver disease are going through.  Though I haven't worked directly with the American Liver Foundation before, I have many friends who have, and I believe them when they say their contributions toward finding a cure for liver disease have been substantial.  That's why I am participating in the Liver Life Challenge by running in the Boston Marathon on April 15, 2013. The Liver Life Challenge is an endurance sport training program that helps people like me train for a race while supporting the mission of the American Liver Foundation.  Please help me in meeting my fundraising goal for this year.  No donation is too big or too small.  Everyone's help and support is appreciated, and I invite you all to come watch me run in April--hopefully I can cross the finish line!

Many thanks,

Kelly

Help me to help 30 million Americans.

A world free of liver disease! That is why I am participating in the Liver Life Challenge. The Liver Life Challenge is an endurance sport training program that helps people like me train for a race while supporting the mission of the American Liver Foundation.

Every step I take and every dollar I raise will make a diference in the lives of more than 30 million Americans living with liver disease.

Did you know:

  • Liver cancer is one of the few primary cancers on the rise in the United States.
  • Approximately 5.4 million Americans are chronically infected with hepatitis B or hepatitis C. About 65% and 75%, respectively, are unaware that they are infected.
  • It is estimated that up to 25% of the U.S. population could have Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease--a condition that can lead to life-threatening damage.

By making a donation on my behalf, you will be helping the Foundation provide community-based education, research, support, and advocacy related to help prevent and treat liver disease. Together we can make a difference and it's as simple as helping me reach my fundraising goal.

Donating is easy! Just click the "Sponsor Me" button to get started.
