Hi everyone! Thanks for checking out my page. As many of you know, I was supposed to run the NYC Marathon on Nov 4th. It was appropriately cancelled because of Hurricane Sandy and the awful aftermath that it caused so many people in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. When I qualified for the NYC Marathon a year ago, I hadn't really thought about joining a charity as well. After the NYC Marathon was cancelled, I decided that I wanted to do another marathon and this time use my running as a way to give back to others. I feel blessed that I am fortunate enough to live my life and run daily, and feel honored to be able to help FIGHT LIVER DISEASE! I will be running the Boston Marathon on April 15th!

A world free of liver disease! That is why I am participating in the Liver Life Challenge. The Liver Life Challenge is an endurance sport training program that helps people like me train for a race while supporting the mission of the American Liver Foundation.

Every step I take and every dollar I raise will make a diference in the lives of more than 30 million Americans living with liver disease.

Did you know:

• Liver cancer is one of the few primary cancers on the rise in the United States.
• Approximately 5.4 million Americans are chronically infected with hepatitis B or hepatitis C. About 65% and 75% , respectively, are unaware that they are infected.
• It is estimated that up to 25% of the U.S. population could have Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease--a condition that can lead to life-threatening damage.
