Fundraising Honor Roll

When life places you on a starting line, you have no choice but to run. That's what happened to me on April 15. 2013. I have always dreamt about finishing a marathon but I have always settled for just watching. During the 2013 Boston Marathon,  I was standing near the finish line, watching, when it happened. I was physically unharmed by the events of that day, but forever changed.

It didn't take me long to start running again, one mile and one back road at a time. I quickly set my sights on the 2014 Boston Marathon and I knew I wanted to run for a good cause.

Now, I'd like to ask you to help me to help countless Americans that are suffering from a variety of illnesses effecting the liver. The Liver Life Challenge is an endurance sport training program that helps people like me train for the race of my dreams while supporting the mission of the American Liver Foundation.

Every step I take and every dollar I raise will make a diference in the lives of more than 30 million Americans living with liver disease.

Did you know:

  • Liver cancer is one of the few primary cancers on the rise in the United States.
  • Approximately 5.4 million Americans are chronically infected with hepatitis B or hepatitis C. About 65% and 75% , respectively, are unaware that they are infected.
  • It is estimated that up to 25% of the U.S. population could have Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease--a condition that can lead to life-threatening damage.

By making a donation on my behalf, you will be helping the Foundation provide community-based education, research, support, and advocacy related to help prevent and treat liver disease. Together we can make a difference and it's as simple as helping me reach my fundraising goal.

Donating is easy! Just click the "Donate" button to get started.

Thank you so much!
