The Liver
LIFE Walk is a
3-mile pledged fundraising walk event that promotes liver awareness while
raising funds for critically needed liver disease research, education and
advocacy. Enjoy entertainment, food and refreshments. The Liver LIFE Walks are
family and pet friendly and begin at 9:00 a.m.
30 million
Americans are affected by liver disease. In fact, liver disease is now
estimated to affect more people than those living diabetes type 1 and type 2
and all cancers combined.
The Liver LIFE Walks offer an
important opportunity for those of whose lives have been touched to promote
liver disease awareness. The future is up to each of us.
Promoting awareness means we are in the public spotlight. Each of us that
promotes liver disease awareness helps dispel the myths that exist about liver
disease. It helps educate others, encourages those who may feel ashamed to join
with us and be a partner, and lastly, reaches out to those who may not know
about the ALF and engages them to be advocates for the future.
With 30 million Americans affected
by liver disease, it is imperative that liver disease goes public. 30
Million Americans. We cannot hope and we cannot wait.
