Liver Life Challenge Team Details: 

Liver Life Challenge is one of the American Liver Foundation's largest fundraising programs.  It relies on every member of the team making a determined effort to raise both money and awareness about the ALF and our mission. The goal for our 2010 Liver Life Challenge Carlsbad Marathon team is to raise $30,000! It's ambitious, but together we can do it.

It is critical for the LLC effort that every member has a successful fundraising experience to meet the minimum fundraising goal. We know that fundraising is a new adventure for many runners, so we will be here to help in any way possible.

Step #1: Register for the event on our site & pay the registration fee for the marathon or half (we will submit it to the officials at Carlsbad).

Step #2: Complete and return the signed Liver Life Challenge Team contract to us.

Step #3: We will send you a confirmation which includes the official LLC training program, race singlet, and more!

Carlsbad is a winter marathon and half marathon unlike any other.  From our ideal weather conditions to our spectacular coastal course, our award winning event will wow you. Our 26 fully staffed course support stations, continuous entertainment and unsurpassed volunteer support are just a few of our outstanding features.  We also offer each participant a technical fabric shirt, goodie bag, spectacular finisher's medal and more.  Our boutique style event with an emphasis on quality and individual service sets us apart from the mega marathons...

The Marathon and all of its accompanying events start at the Westfield Shoppingtown Plaza Camino Real in Carlsbad.  After the starter's gun goes off, Marathoners will head for the coast passing the Buena Vista Lagoon through the village of Carlsbad to Carlsbad Boulevard (Highway 101).  You'll head south on the 101 to Palomar Airport Road (PAR).  After a 3 mile trip inland on you'll return to the coast and again head south on 101 to a quick U-turn near La Costa Avenue back up the cost to the finish line.

The Marathon course is rolling.  Much of it is along the beautiful Pacific Ocean.  The highest point of elevation is 308 feet above sea level reached gradually between miles 5 and 9.
