Runner Highlight:

Every few weeks, we will be highlighting a participant's story on this page and on our Facebook page. This week our participants for the 2014 Liver Life Walk Chicago and our newest ALF runner, Jeannine Love, shares her story.

Aric Hughes HiserJeannine lost her best friend and partner, Aric Hiser, from liver disease on October 31, 2012. From 2009-2012, Aric led the Dirty Rotten Livers team at our annual Liver Life Walk in Chicago. In 2013, Jeannine took up the role of team captain of the Dirty Rotten Livers and raised over $12,000 for the ALF in honor of Aric! This year, we are excited to welcome Jeannine and the Dirty Rotten Livers back to the Liver Life Walk Chicago.

Recently, Jeannine has started running to help cope with her grief. Along with running, Jeannine has adopted a healthier diet. This powerful combination of being healthy in both body and mind is what is helping Jeannine to progress with her life while still honoring Aric. Click here to read Jeannine's powerful and moving story.
